Courtney Thorne-Smith is on Conan promoting her new movie with Carrot Top called "Chairman of the Board." Norm is the other guest.
As Thorne-Smith tries to discuss the film, Norm keeps interrupting with observations about how terrible it must be. He hasn't seen it. He doesn't need to. The premise—Carrot Top in a leading role—tells him everything.
The destruction escalates. Thorne-Smith gamely tries to defend the project. Norm shows no mercy. Finally, he delivers the killing blow:
"I bet the 'Board' is spelled B-O-R-E-D."
Conan loses it. Thorne-Smith can only laugh. It's a perfect Norm moment: casually brutal, obviously true, delivered with the deadpan sincerity of a man simply stating facts.
The movie opened to $164,000. Norm never saw it.
